When stored correctly your cheesecake can last for about 4-5 days in the refrigerator, and up to 3 months in the freezer. The best way to preserve your cheesecake is to to keep the cheesecake air-tight. You can either completely wrap the cake in plastic wrap and then a layer of aluminum foil, or place the cake in a container with a lid.

If freezing your cheesecake, it can either be frozen as a whole or by slices. Place the cake in the refrigerator when thawing. A whole cheesecake could take up to 8-10 hours to thaw, while a single slice will take just an hour or two (depending on the thickness of the slice).
